This residence has a minimally landscaped backyard, and the homeowner wanted to change that. They wanted to build off their existing 2nd story deck and incorporate steps down to the ground level. Once there, they wanted to enjoy a flagstone patio with fire pit as well as the perception of a 'vast' garden space. Another priority was to interestingly minimize their existing lawn, but with "lots of curves". Other details feel into place as they fell in love with the overall concept.
